Marc Andreessen coined the term "Product-Market Fit" to describe being in a good market with a product that can satisfy that market. Sean Ellis popularized the term, and Dan Olsen, an expert in product management and author of The Lean Product Playbook, has developed a six-step framework to establish a product-market fit. To determine your target customer, it is important to take the temperature of the marketplace and see what's hot. This will help you discern what the market demand is and the product customers want, even if they don't know it yet. Market segmentation is used to identify the customer you want to target and define persona archetypes, which helps everyone on the product team understand the target audience.

Identify the value proposition, which is the seed from which to grow a successful product strategy, is the lodestar for developing a plan for how a product can meet the needs of the customer in ways that the market has yet to exploit. Determine the minimum feature set, which should go hand-in-hand with the mission statement, and find underserved customer needs.
The most important details in this text are the steps to make a minimum viable product prototype and test it with the target customer in the market. The prototype is a product before the actual product, which will be mass-produced, and it allows the product manager and team to iterate until they reach the perfect balance. To ensure the product has what the customer wants, be elegant in your design and add what your customer wants, just enough and not more. Additionally, look into software and other tools to enhance the user experience and integrate feedback into the final product. Finally, analyze the data and identify patterns to further refine the product.
