Making Progress on Condo Reform Implementation

The implementation of the Protecting Condominium Owners Act, 2015, in Ontario is making progress with the establishment of two not-for-profit corporations: the Condominium Authority of Ontario (CAO) and the Condominium Management Regulatory Authority of Ontario (CMRAO). These entities are tasked with administering and enforcing various aspects of condominium legislation, including education, dispute resolution, and licensing of condo managers and providers. The first directors of both corporations, along with an interim executive leader, have been appointed to oversee the operational and governance aspects necessary for their designation.
