Article Summary:

Condominium corporations have limited power when it comes to removing troublesome or non-paying owners and/or their tenants. The only way to remove a condo owner is if they default on payment of fees. For non-monetary reasons, it is more difficult to remove owners. The condominium boards lack legal standing to remove a tenant even if their behavior or actions are offensive. Tenants are responsible for following the rules of the condominium corporation, and failure to do so can be cause for eviction.
