Correction: Although the Green Energy Act is Repealed, Condominium Obligations to Report Energy and Water Use Remain

Despite the repeal of the Green Energy Act in Ontario, condominiums are still obligated to report their energy and water usage. The reporting requirements were transferred to a regulation under the Electricity Act, which came into effect on January 1, 2019, and will require condominiums with at least 100,000 square feet of gross floor area to report their energy and water usage information annually by the July 1 deadline. Condominiums with gross floor area of at least 50,000 square feet but less than 100,000 square feet will begin reporting in 2020.
