The Toronto rental market is currently experiencing high demand and competition, making it one of the craziest markets the author has seen. Despite feeling sick, the author turned down two offers to lease a rental listing where tenants were offering all twelve months of rent up front. A third offer was accepted, providing some memorable moments that the author shares in "Rental Realizations." The second realization is that there is no "special," as landlords may look past an applicant's income, age, or lack of experience.
